What a weekend in Kentville for the U15AAA Provincial Tournament!

This weekend was a huge moment for Valley Wild — hosting and showcasing some of the best female hockey in the province right here at home is something truly special. It doesn’t happen without vision, commitment, and a whole lot of hard work. We want to recognize an incredible group who took this on and made it happen — Cindy-Jo Reid, Lindsay Verran, Stephanie Wallace and Tim Lowe. Bringing an event of this caliber to our community is a big deal, and their dedication and effort were evident every step of the way, creating a fantastic showcase of hockey and community both on the ice and in the stands.

A huge thank you as well to all of the sponsors who helped make this weekend possible — your support goes a long way in creating opportunities like this for our athletes.

We also want to recognize the all-female officiating crew who were part of this event. Your presence, professionalism, and leadership on the ice are incredibly important, and you continue to inspire the next generation both on and off the ice.

Congratulations to the Metro East Inferno on capturing the U15AAA Provincial Championship! What an incredible game, edging out the Cape Breton Blizzards 2–1 in a hard-fought battle. Best of luck to the Inferno as they head to the 2026 U15AAA Atlantic Championships — we’ll all be cheering you on!

We also want to recognize our Valley Wild U15AAA team — while we may not have left provincials with a medal, you certainly finished on a high note. Your compete level all weekend was incredible to watch, battling hard every game to a record of 1 win, 2 losses, and a tie while keeping your spirits high right to the final buzzer. We are incredibly proud to share that the team was awarded the Tournament Fair Play Award — a true reflection of your sportsmanship, respect, and character on and off the ice. ?We couldn’t be prouder of the effort, resilience, and teamwork you showed.

This weekend was exactly what Female Hockey is all about — seeing girls out on the ice competing, supporting one another, and showing what’s possible, while creating opportunities for others in the Valley to be inspired, to dream bigger, and to truly see her, be her.
